George was a true friend to anyone who knew him. Always welcoming and generous with his time and talent. Myself and our family will truly miss his warm, friendly smile and hearty hello. You always thought he was glad to see you no matter where or when with a greeting and hearty handshake. Our sincere condolences to Maureen, his extended family and and his friends throughout the world.

George was a man full of life and energy. He approached each day with enthusiasm and remained sharp as a tack. He was kind, passionate, caring, and deeply loving to the people around him.

When I came to visit, we would wake up early before everyone else, pour a cup of coffee, and talk about the markets. Those mornings were special. We would share ideas and stories, and the conversations often lasted for hours.

George will be greatly missed. My deepest sympathies go out to Maureen, George’s family, and the many friends whose lives he touched.

My brothers and I were fortunate to grow up across the street from George and his family in Youngstown. Many great stories from those days. When my wife and I moved to Orlando in 1988 we reconnected and enjoyed celebrations at his home and ours over the years. George and Maureen attended significant birthdays of my father’s – always with a smile and a gift. Such positive people. George and I developed a friendly competition of Ping Pong at my house and he would frequently bring flowers or a bottle of wine when the moment struck him. Our conversations and joking became such a welcome break from a busy work life. He always treated us like family and we will miss him very dearly. Our thoughts to Maureen who really was the light of his life.

🌎 A Tribute to My Brother, George: The Original Adventurer
My heart is broken over the loss of my older brother, George. While the grief is immense, I want to celebrate the incredible spirit he possessed and the profound impact he had on my life.
George was more than just a big brother; he was my first and greatest inspiration. He was an original adventurer.
      • He was the one who first showed me what was possible, starting with his own hitchhiking journeys up and down California when I was just a kid.
      • It was because of George that I ever had the courage to truly see the world. That inspiration led me to hitchhike alone across Europe for four months, and later fueled my travels through Mexico and Central America. He always pushed the boundaries, even studying and living in Japan for a year.
He taught me that life is meant to be explored, that there is an entire world outside your door, and that the greatest education often happens on the road.
George, thank you for showing me how to be fearless. The roads I’ve traveled, the people I’ve met-so much of it began with your restless spirit. I’ll always cherish our last conversations
Rest in peace, my dear brother. The world is a little less bright without your adventurous heart.
      Love you always.❤️
